Marraskuu (November) (2024)
As a Finnish maker, I am deeply influenced by Nordic nature. Over the three years I spent on Bornholm, I was privileged to experience the Islands transition from long, sunny summers to colorful autumns, dark winters and the reawakening of spring.
I explore the drastic seasonal changes and the emotions related to those transitions. This is my ode to light and a celebration of the present moment.
The work is also a material research project focused on circular solutions in arts and crafts, utilizing waste glass from Bornholm-based glass studio Baltic Sea Glass.
